A fine and untouched Victorian period gilt portrait mirror. The mirror has elements of Italian design with the wide flat frame and scroll-work edges but is of English manufacture. The gilding is all original and has a wonderful soft faded gold colour. The mirror plate is the original, it is bevelled and has some very slight discolouration. The whole has a great faded country house look and is a very useful size.
