Pair of Large Georgian Style Tub Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

Fantastic pair of large and extremely comfortable, Georgian style tub armchairs, circa 1920.

Very good carving to the show wood frames with the tub back and sweeping arms, finishing with ball and claw feet.

These are a large armchair, very generous seat dimensions, so they would be perfect lounge chairs, but perhaps could have a scatter cushion too.

The upholstery is certainly recent and in really good condition, finished with studs.

Please do take note of the dimensions as these are not a small size!

Measuring:

32 1/2'' or 83cm high

32'' or 81cm wide

36'' or 91cm deep

Internal seat dimensions:

16'' or 40cm cushion seat height

28'' or 71cm deep seat cushion ( front to back )

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
