Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian beech revolving office armchair, circa 1910, which has been newly upholstered, in excellent condition. The chair features a curved bar back, connected to wrap around arms, supported by an elegant splayed vertical fan back. The chair has been newly upholstered with top quality full grain red leather padded seat, which has been finished with brass studs to the perimeter. The underside of the seat has been re-webbed in the traditional manner. The chair sits on four splayed beech legs that terminate on the original steel castors. The chair rotates 360 degrees the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The chair mechanism has been restored and serviced and is in excellent working order. The chair also features a reclining action. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on as it features a lovely padded seat.

Condition Report:
The chair and its mechanism are in excellent working condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair has been upholstered with top quality full grain red leather padded seat, which has been finished with brass studs to the perimeter. The underside of the seat has been re-webbed in the traditional manner. The chair mechanism has been serviced and is in excellent condition. The tension of the reclining action can be adjusted by turning the wheel at the front of the mechanism and the chair can be raised or lowered on the central steel thread. The chair features its original steel castors, which are also in good condition. Importantly, there are no breaks to the back, arms or legs. As the chair boasts its original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
