Description:
This is a superb quality set of six antique English Regency provincial bar back oak and elm dining chairs, circa 1830, boasting stunning colour, in good original condition. The chairs incorporate a scribe moulded splayed elm “bar back” top rail, with an archetypal Regency shaped horizontal elm splat, secured by two curved vertical supports. The solid oak seats are firm but comfortable to sit on. The chairs are raised on sturdy, tapering legs at the front, with splayed legs to the rear. Four stretchers, for additional strength, unite the legs. These chairs are solid, well constructed and ready to use.

Condition Report:
These chairs are in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, seat, frame and legs, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Therefore, the seats are in excellent clean condition. The chair frames and seats retain their original polish and patination, which is why they boast a stunning colour. The chairs sit firm on the ground and do not wobble. They are solid in joint and ready to use.
