Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian mahogany and brown leather revolving adjustable office armchair, circa 1910, in good condition. The chair is designed with an elegant curved back and down swept, wraparound arms, upholstered in full grain brown leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked studs to the leather perimeter. Below, the chair boasts a stunning quality “saddle shaped” mahogany seat, with a removable leather cushion. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on either with or without the cushion. The chair revolves 360 degrees, is height adjustable and features a reclining action. The height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair, and the tension of the reclining action can be adjusted by turning the small wheel at the front of the mechanism. The chair stands on its original splayed legs and features solid brass and ceramic mug castors (the castors are in good condition). The chair is very comfortable to sit on, has fantastic colour and is in excellent overall condition.

Condition Report:
The chair and mechanism are in original working condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair frame has been cleaned and French polished in our workshop; therefore it boasts a stunning colour. The leather is in good condition with no holes or damage to the upholstery. The revolving mechanism is in good working order, having also been cleaned and serviced. There is some play to the mechanism, but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair, and will be found in all office chairs of this age. The chair stands on its original legs and features solid brass and ceramic mug castors (the castors are in good condition). The chair is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
