Mid Victorian Carved Giltwood Oval Wall Mirror

Description

Circa 1870, mid Victorian carved giltwood oval wall mirror. The original oval mirror plate is surrounded by a double moulded slip with fluted and impressed decorations with athenium decoration. The external frame is crowned by a fleur-de-lis above open foliate decorations and trailing bellflowers extending down the sides of the mirror. The base has further opened foliate carvings and a small cartouche.
