The armchair features a curved bar back, connected to shaped arms, supported by an elegant splayed vertical high fan back (ideal for stronger back support). The chair seat has been newly upholstered in top quality full grain sage green leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The underside of the seat has been re-webbed in the traditional manner. The front and sides of the seat are decorated with a scroll shaped frieze. The chair sits on four splayed oak legs that terminate on the brass and mug castors. The chair mechanism has been restored and serviced and is in excellent working order. The chair incorporates a mechanism allowing it to rotate 360 degrees and recline backwards. The seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The mechanism is embossed with “Milwaukee Wisc.”, as well as showing a construction date of February 6th 1903. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on as it features a lovely padded seat with a high back.

Condition Report:

The chair and mechanism are in good working condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair seat has been newly upholstered in top quality full grain olive green leather, which incorporates the traditional brass studwork tacks to the seat perimeter and traditional hessian material to the underside. Therefore, the leather is in excellent new condition, with no wear, fading or damage. The reclining and adjustable height mechanism is in good working order, having just been cleaned and serviced. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The chair features a rich medium brown oak colour, having been cleaned and polished in our workshops. The chair features brass and mug, which are also in good condition. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.

The following information provides dimensions on when the chair height is lowered and also raised to its highest setting using by adjusting the central steel rod:
