Country House Set of Eight Victorian Oak Balloon Back Antique Dining Chairs by James Winter & Sons.

Constructed by the renowned cabinet makers James Winter & Sons, Soho London, this wonderful set of chairs date from around 1870 and are full of beautiful charm and character. They have shaped moulded backs and stand on splayed back legs and beautifully turned front legs and have early red leather seats with stud trim. The oak has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
