Description:
The chairs incorporate a curved “bar back” top rail, adorned with a central reeded fan pediment, flanked by finely carved foliate detail and scroll ears. The horizontal splats below are constructed from stunning stem shaped horizontal scrolls, which intertwine and terminate in floral tips. The drop-in-seats have been newly upholstered in a top quality structured silk cream & pale gold chenille material. The seats are firm but comfortable to sit on; they do not sag. The undersides of the seats incorporate new hessian backing. The chairs are raised on sturdy sabre legs to the front and rear and display scroll vertical frames. These chairs are solid, well constructed and heavy – a sign of quality.

These chairs are in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, seat, frame and legs, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The seats have been newly upholstered in a top quality structured silk cream & pale gold chenille material. Therefore, the seats are in excellent clean condition. The chair frames retain their original polish and patination, which is why they boast a stunning rich brown colour. The chairs sit firm on the ground and do not wobble. They are well built and heavy; which is a sign of quality; they are solid in joint and ready to use.
