A fine pair of Italian carved giltwood mirrors. The pair are typical of late nineteenth century Italian carving and gilding with fine, open, deep carving of leafy scrolls. This type of oval frame is often used for paintings but these appear to have always been mirrors as the lining paper dates to the nineteenth century. The mirrors appear to be original and do have some very minor foxing. The frames are in good condition with some minor repairs and knocks.
