Description:
This is a top quality pair of Hepplewhite style mahogany armchairs, circa 1910, which are in very good condition, having been newly re-upholstered. The chairs are constructed of solid mahogany and feature a shaped top rail, above a finely executed pierced floral fretwork central splat, flanked by vertical reeded rails, secured by two wraparound, shaped arms, secured by shaped vertical supports. Incorporating stuff over seat designs, the chairs frames are finely moulded. The seats have been newly re-upholstered in top quality hardwearing top quality ivory chenille that incorporates a small diamond pattern, finished with matching gold braiding and traditional hessian material to the underside. Therefore the seats are in excellent and clean condition, with no marks. The seats are firm but comfortable; you do not sink into the seat. The chairs rest on straight moulded legs to the front and sabre legs to the rear.

Condition Report:
These chairs are in good condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, frames and legs, but nothing significant considering the age of them. The seats have been newly re-upholstered; therefore the fabric is in excellent and clean condition, with no marks. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can re-cover the seats in a fabric of your choice. If you would like the seats re-covered, please contact us for a quote. The chairs retain the original polish; therefore they boast a fantastic patination and colour, which cannot be recreated if the chairs were re-polished. The chairs are solid in joint; they do not wobble and are ready to use.
