Large Antique George II Giltwood Mirror

18th century
Description

This is a beautiful George II giltwood mirror of scale, circa 1730. It has its original mercury plate in good order within a rockwork frame with an acanthus and C scroll apron headed by a pierced shell plume. The gilding is rubbed and has a good colour. The mirrror is a grand size, measuring 97 cms by 53 cms.
