A Charming Japanese Komai Style Damascened Iron Box

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this charming Komai style iron trinket box , the iron ground has been decorated on the lid in damascened gold and silver to cleverly depict a Bijin holding a flower while resting at a fence ,at her side is an Akita type of Japanese dog , the sides of the box are picked out with gold butterflies , the silver base stands on four bracket feet and bears a factory seal while the lid is signed with a three character gilt signature, a great Komai style box from the Meiji Period .
