A charming mid 19th century set of six birch and rush chairs from the Lancashire area.

This set of country chairs consist of a turned and shaped rail to the top with two lower curved plain splats connected by five scratch moulded rails with curved uprights to the sides.

The chairs all have good quality, original rush seats all in good condition leading down to the legs being of square design with a plain front rail with two square stretchers to the sides.

The construction of these chairs gives us quite a sophisticated chair design with the use of complex turnings, sawing and shaping and the influence of Sheraton designs.

These chairs are in good, original condition and can go straight into a home.
