Description:
The chairs feature a curved backrest incorporating a bowed “bar back” top rail, decorated with a carved pediment. Below the top rail is an attractive, shaped horizontal central splat flanked by two chamfered vertical rails. The chair frame frieze boasts finely curved scroll mouldings. The newly upholstered seats are comfortable to sit on; they are supportive and do not sag. The undersides of the seats incorporate new hessian backing. The chairs are raised on elegant hexagonal shaped and ring turned legs, with sabre rear legs. These chairs are solid, well-constructed and heavy – a sign of quality.
The chairs feature a rich brown rosewood colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.

Condition Report:
This pair of chairs is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, seat, frame and legs, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The seats have been newly upholstered in a top quality floral silk embroidered material, with a new hessian underside. Therefore, the seats are in excellent clean condition. The chair frames retain their original polish and patination, which is why they boast a stunning rich brown colour. The chairs sit firm on the ground and do not wobble. They are well built and heavy; which is a sign of quality; they are solid in joint and ready to use.
