Florentine Water Gilded Mirror 19th Century

Description

This is a beautiful hand carved Florentine mirror in excellent order and very original condition. The mirror dates from around 1850 and has its original watergilded finish which has an attractive antique rubbed appearance. The detailed carving is of the usual high quality and remarkably, quite rarely for these mirrors there are no damaged or repaired areas as the photo of the back of the carving gives testament. The backboards are the original and the mirror plate, also which is in good clean condition with only one or two age related marks. This measures ms by 48 cms overall and would hang either portrait or landscape fashion.
