Below is a finely executed pierced fretwork central splat, flanked by vertical moulded rails. Incorporating on overstuffed seat design, the seats are firm but comfortable; you do not sink into the seat. The seats have been newly upholstered in top quality hardwearing wool & cotton chenille upholstery, in a light grey colour, with traditional hessian material to the underside. The seats are finished with matching colour braiding. Therefore the seats are in excellent and clean condition, with no marks.
The chairs are raised on cabriole legs to the front, featuring acanthus leaf carvings to the knees, and sabre legs to the rear. The armchairs mirror the design of the singles, with the addition of two splayed arms, decorated with scroll carvings, secured by shaped vertical supports. Please note, this is a true set of chairs; they have not been matched together from smaller sets of similar chairs.
Condition Report:
These dining chairs are in excellent condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, frames and legs, but nothing significant considering the age of them. The seats have been newly upholstered; therefore the fabric is in excellent and clean condition, with no marks. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice. If you would like the seats recovered, please contact us for a quote. The chairs have been re-polished in our workshops, therefore the polish finish in excellent condition. This is a true set from the day of their construction (they have not been matched together from smaller sets of similar chairs). The chairs are solid in joint; they do not wobble and they are ready to use.
