Pair of Regency Brass Inlaid Hand Chairs

Description

Good pair of Scottish, Regency period sabre leg hand chairs in mahogany and rosewood with very nice original brass inlay to the backs. As is typical of Scottish chairs from this period the front of the legs and frame are nicely moulded. The two small thin centre back stretchers are curved and have a brass line inlay. The top parts have an inlay of rosewood and brass inlay. The chair have drop in seats and are nicely upholstered in a Regency type strip material. All the joints are perfectly tight and there are no repairs.

SIZE; 34" high. 19" across the fronts and 18" deep.
