This is a lovely example of an English antique Sussex armchair that is in superb, orignal condition. Made in elm and ash woods and in the period finish that has lovely wear to the arms and top rail. The original rush seat is in perfect condition and the armchair farme is in very good, strong order. Dates from around 1870-5, designed by the William Morris, the model is named, the Sussex chair.
