Fine Pair of Chippendale Revival Armchairs

A fine quality pair of Chippendale revival armchairs in mahogany. The chairs very closely follow Chippendales eighteenth century designs and have elaborately carved back and legs. The chairs have a lovely colour and a great country house look about them. The upholstery which may be original is in a dark pink damask, this has faded and again gives that feel of the English country house. The chairs are in very good useable condition with the odd very minor knock etc and the upholstery does have the odd mark as one would expect for the age. The chairs retain the orginal makers label for the ‘Old times furnishing company’ of Westminster, who specialised in high quality furniture made to Georgian designs and were working before world war one.
