M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Broad figured mahogany backs supported on carved stylised Corinthian capital blocks. The forelegs with upper 'lappet-style' carved detail, the feet with carved 'bulb' detail . The seat frame edges with a moulded profile .

The chairs have been the subject of top-quality sympathetic refurbishment approximately 10 years ago , with re-webbed and recovered seats in the traditional manner . The chairs having had very light use since and are presented in first-class condition . The polish on the legs has been professionally matched to repair any scuffs and loss to the surface.

Wonderful colour to the deeply concave top rails which have obtained an excellent patination .
The seats covered in an expensive self-patterned fabric of a golden yellow hue , with classical wreath motif pattern and Medusa head mask design. The edges with braided detail .

In ready-to-use condition. A fine quality set of well-proportioned chairs benefitting from comprising a scarce set of 10 single chairs .
Have no breaks or repairs.
