Description

A fabulous pair of Regency japanned and painted elbow chairs with circular caned seats raised on turned and fluted legs . The floral cresting rail and lower rail enclose an elegant curved trellis and roundel back, the painting decoration is repeated on other parts of the chairs.

The chairs are in good sound condition with no wobbles and the caning is in excellent order. There is some slight wear to the original, painted surface, but this only adds to the character and charm of this exceptional pair of Regency chairs.

These highly unusual and decorative chairs are a superb example of Regency elegance and would be an important addition to any interior.
