Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the Regency era.
Each chair is carved with stylised anthiemon to the upper rail and with beading and 'buckles' to the middle rail, whilst the drop-in seats are supported on well-turned and reeded legs, with carved anthiemon to each corner. Good solid and eminently usable chairs ~ the price includes re-covering in buyers material.
