Good Large Regency Gilded Convex Mirror

19th century
Description

Large size early 19th century Regency period gilded convex mirror. Original mirror plate with ebonised multiple reed moulded slip. Nice design rope twist mould with all the original balls. The mirror is in good condition with virtually all the original water gilding to the front, some touching up around the sides mainly where the cut outs have been repaired.

It has originally had a carved pediment and base but these have long since been removed and the cut outs in the back have been repaired.

It is a lovely looking mirror and is a good sixe for one of these.

SIZE; 27" diameter outside. The exact diameter of the mirror plate is 15".
