Antique Regency Mahogany Open Armchair

Early 19th century excellent example of a sabre leg chair from the Regency period with a shaped panel back and a “rope-twist” design middle rail/stretcher. Beautifully swept scrolling arms terminating with two side to side turned rosette type details
 
The padded – and very comfortable – drop in seat is covered with a very pretty, likely original, blue needlepoint embroidered tapestry centred by a floral medallion.
 
Couple of old repair, excellent colour, suitable as a desk or library chair
