A very good quality late Victorian period oval mirror. The mirror is in the style of the late eighteenth century with an outer edge of mirror segments very much after Adam designs. The mirror has interesting cartouche motifs separating the segments but other than that is very simple and stylish in design. The mirror is completely original and untouched, the gilding has a lovely soft glow and appropriate wear in areas. A great size and lovely country house look and in excellent condition. C.1880.
