An impressive 19th century gilt-framed tall mirror. This really useful full-height dressing mirror can be wall mounted or positioned on the floor, making an ideal alternative to a freestanding cheval. The simple straight-moulded gilded frame surrounds the most beautiful piece of original mercury glass plate that has a glistening glow and a soft, warm reflection – the best we've seen in many years. The panelled backing boards are also original. This truly wonderful dressing mirror is English, and it dates from c1870 – c1890.
