Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The seat covers are in very good order, they are really beautiful and the subtle colours would fit in with most interior schemes. The chairs are very solid and stand on substantial turned and chamfered legs. The scroll arm detail is a wonderful decorative touch, and reflects the craftsmanship of the Arts & Crafts period very well . The colour and patina of this pair of chairs is excellent and they would add style to any interior.
