A very nice set of twelve Victorian satin walnut dining chairs comprising two carver armchairs and ten side chairs. With shaped bar backs and a horizontal splat above a drop-in seat on turned tapering front legs and slightly outsplayed legs to the back. The armchairs have shaped arms on turned baluster supports. With dark blue velvet covered drop-in seats.All in solid condition, with some nice grain to the backs and of a warm colour that looks good alongside honey oak. There are some old worm holes, some of which were present in the timber prior to construction, to some backs and seat supports. A screw has been added to the top of the back uprights on one of the armchairs and one side chair has been reduced in height. Seat covers in mostly good order, some with pulls to the velvet.
