A very large and decorative Georgian revival shield shaped mirror. The mirror of typical Georgian design is embellished with carved and pierced work particularly nice are the Prince of Wales feathers in the centre which are most unusual. The mahogany is a good colour and the gilding is still stong. The mirror dates from the late Victorian period when there was a revival of Georgian design and this example is particularly good quality. The mirror is in great original condition including the mirror glass. The whole has a great country house look and is ready to hang. C.1890.
