This is an original set and not matched together. The set consists of 6 side chairs. All chairs boast graduated wavy shaped back splats above hand woven seats. The base of the chairs feature turned ash legs on a pad foot base. Twin beech stretchers connect all four legs for additional support to the chair base (beech was used in legs and stretchers because of its strong properties). The front stretcher, which is constructed of elm, is heavy and turned – a good sign of quality. All chairs are made from top quality ash and elm, they are firm in joint and do not wobble. The chairs are heavy in weight, which is a good sign of quality.
The chairs feature a warm rich ash and elm red/brown colour, ensuring a lovely colour and patination.
