George III Style Carved Giltwood Wall Mirror

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1900, George III style carved giltwood wall mirror. The classic fine thin carved giltwood frame with a raised open fretwork pediment with foliate carving on top. Left and right are further carved brackets again with small flower heads with leaves. The mirror is framed in a classic faux wood gilded frame, and the outside has open fretwork Rococo scrolls with flowers. At the base there is a scrolling section with a small basket with flowers. All the features of a period mirror with nice gilding.
