Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Georgian medicine chest is a specialized wooden transport box created during the 18th and early 19th centuries to store pharmaceuticals, liquid treatments, and medical instruments for physicians, naval officers, or wealthy households.

These chests were typically crafted from solid mahogany or walnut, featuring interior velvet linings, hand-blown glass bottles with ground stoppers, and cast brass hardware such as flush handles, locks, and balance scales.

Authentic pieces display hand-dovetailed joinery, period-correct brass escutcheons, hand-blown glass bottles showing wear or pontil marks, and fitted interior compartments designed specifically for individual glass vessels.

An antique medicine chest serves as an intriguing accent piece on an executive office desk, bookshelf, or sideboard, where it can be displayed open to highlight the historical glass bottles and internal craftsmanship.

Keep the wooden exterior clean using a soft microfibre cloth and high-quality beeswax polish, avoid direct sunlight and humidity changes, and handle the glass bottles carefully to preserve original paper labels.
