A Victorian Overmantle Mirror

Description

A Victorian overmantle mirror. The gilding in a deteriorated state with verdigris and losses which has been rubbed back and waxed. The mirror plate also deteriorated particularly to the left hand side bottom. This would appeal to someone looking for a mirror that shows its age but still has original mercury glass. The frame and original wood back are solid.

The frame is 84 cms wide and 116 wide including the 'ears' at the base. it is 116 cms high.
