Absolutely superb pair of 18th century Mahogany Armchairs in the manner of Robert Adam. The colour is Excellent ,the surface is dry where you''d expect it to be and highly burnished in parts where it has had more handling. The chairs are finely carved and beautifully shaped throughout. They achieve light and elegant appearance while being strong in construction. A single chair of very similar disign can be found in the dictionary of English Furniture, as shown in the images here.
