A bank of vertical turned bulbous spindles connect the shaped bar back and arms to the oak seat frame. The chair frame and seat is constructed of a stunning piece of oak; the medulla rays in the timber are superbly pronounced. The chair features a “saddle” seat, which is extremely comfortable. The chair sits on four splayed oak legs that terminate on its original brass castors. The chair rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The tension of the reclining action can be adjusted by turning the large screw and the chair can be raised or lowered on the central steel thread. The chair mechanism has been cleaned and serviced and is in good working order. The chair also features a reclining action. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on.

The chair and its mechanism are in good working condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item.
