C17th and later oak wainscot chair

A wonderful oak wainscot chair, the central fielded carved panel with a stylised tree of life. The turned front legs having a stretcher all round, and the seat is wooden.

Depth 20 inches

Height to seat 17 inches

Condition

Like many of these wainscot chairs, there has been a few repairs and replacements, the seat and the stretchers and the very bottom of the back legs and the turned feet on the front legs are replacements, dating I would say from the 1930's and seem completely honest and tell a story of the life of this absolutely charming armchair
