Victorian Ebonised and Gilded Mirror

Description

Circa 1890, unusual ebonised and gilded mirror. The frame has a Flemish look. The rectangular frame has a flat gilded edge and inside this is a ribbed ebonised section and then a profusely carved frieze which is cushion shaped and rises up. On the next section are four gilded sections and a raised oval section, and within this set back is the mirror. The back is solid wood. Very stylish and elegant.

Size 50cm high x 45cm wide.
