The chair features an elegant upholstered splayed back in a “wraparound” style that connects to the moulded frame. A bank of ring turned spindles connect the arms to the seat frame. The stuff-over seat is sprung with horsehair filling; which makes it extremely comfortable and it features a simple moulded frieze below. The leather is finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter of the seat frame. The seat is connected to the base by four sturdy cabriole shaped legs, which features upturned toes and terminate on later brass castors. The chair revolves 360 degrees and does not recline; chairs of this style were not designed to recline or be height adjustable. The chair mechanism has been cleaned and serviced and is in excellent working order. The chair is extremely comfortable, has a fantastic colour and is in excellent condition.

Condition Report:
This office chair is in excellent condition. The chair has been newly upholstered with top quality full grain green leather and the back rail and seat are upholstered with horsehair filling. The underside of the seat is finished with traditional hessian backing. The arms, frame and seat are completely solid and show no signs of movement. The leather seat is in excellent condition and is free from any holes, damage or rips. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the mahogany frame. The seat is fixed at a standard height and revolves 360 degrees. Chairs of this style were not designed to recline or be height adjustable. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. Importantly, there are no breaks to the arms or legs. The chair sits on later brass castors. This chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
