A Fine And Unusual Japanese Mixed Metal Dragonfly Box

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual mixed metal box, the lidded box is formed to depict a coppered bronze heart shaped section behind an iron coloured fan shape, the bronze section with nicely gilded border and an onlaid gold coloured flower sits behind the fan shaped section finely onlaid in gold,silver, shakudo and other alloys and depicts a Dragonfly landing on the floral display , the interior is silvered and the lid fits like a glove , a nice quality piece of Japanese mixed metal work from the great Meiji period .
The condition is great with minor age related wear .
