A nice quality piece that is very decorative.
Dates from C1850 to 1870, quite a rare chair.
Solid, with no loose joints.
The upholstery is old, with just a little wear and few marks. Would be very easy to reupholster as the seat and back pads are removable.
No woodworm.
Overall maximum dimensions: 55cm wide, 73cm deep, 103cm high (37cm seat height).
Some veneer chipping on the front valence beneath the seat, which has been filled. Recent replacement castors.
