Quality, attractive and well made armchair, with no loose joints or wobbles.
Great proportions and styling, which would look amazing in the right location.
The dark blue leather upholstery is old, with wear and cracking, but no splits or holes.
Overall maximum dimensions: 63cm wide, 65cm deep, 112cm high (50cm high seat when sat on).
Historical repairs, as is the norm, but all is solid now. We have not inspected components concealed beneath the upholstery, but the seat is quite comfortable without the typical lumps and bumps of an antique chair. There is some minor chipping / splitting on the wood at the leather interface on the back, caused by upholstery nails....not structurally significant or particularly noticeable (as it is on the back). No significant woodworm.
As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations.
