Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1800s.
They all have curved backs with beautiful clean carvings with reeded edges. They stand on splayed back legs and tapering moulded front legs with a H stretcher and bow fronts. The drop in seats have recently been upholstered in a classic fabric and the mahogany has aged to a mellow shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
