This is a beautiful quality, English antique mahogany armchair of a good, ample size.
The mahogany legs are joined with a H stretcher. In superb condition, the mahogany timber is the original rich colour. The current upholstery is all traditionally done with the innards intact and in good order, the old fabric is quite clean. A lovely example of an English 19th century antique Gainsborough armchair that dates from around 1870.
