Regency Gilt Overmantle Wall Mirror

Description

19th Century Regency gilt overmantle wall mirror.

This is a lovely mirror, that is full of age, charm and character...no woodworm.

An impressive and rare find.

Later (but still old) mirrored glass with some light oxidation (looks just right).

Overall maximum dimensions: 110cm wide, 62cm high, 8.5cm deep.

Mirrored glass size 84.5cm wide, 43.5cm high.

Aged gilt paint finish on wood and gesso, which has been touched up/repainted here and there. There is historic cracking on the gesso as you would expect to see. Some minor decoration losses and there is no back on the mirror.

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations.
