Victorian Papier Mache Chair Jennens & Bettridge

Description

An early Victorian paier- mache chair.It has gilt decoration with mother of pearl inlay. It is 31.5"/80cm tall and 16"/40.5cm wide.There is slight fading to the decoration on the back, but this does not detract from this lovely chair.It has the makers name of T H JENNENS Patentee, London, as shown in the photograph..Jennens and Bettridge produced quality papier-mâché wares and furniture from around 1815 to 1864 in Birmingham and London.
