19th Century Japanese Boxwood Rat Netsuke

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this enchanting Japanese boxwood netsuke of a bailed rat , the rodent sits clutching his coiled tail with his front paws ,he has jet black inset eyes and large carved ears , although unsigned he is drawn in the manner of Rantei ,a netsuke artist who specialised in rodents, a great addition to any genuine netsuke collections !!
 
The condition is great with a lovely untouched feel.
