Georgian Hepplewhite Mahogany Arm Chair. C. 1790

19th century
Description

Late 18th century Georgian Hepplewhite design mahogany "camel-back" arm chair of the most wonderful rich colour and patination.

Square legs with a scratch mould to the corner edge with a nice shape apron to the side and front rails. Nicely moulded back with shaped back splat.

Probably originally a commode chair.

SIZES; 23" across the front. 36" high overall
