Large Georgian Mahogany Vauxhall Mirror. C. 1780

Description

Large size 18th century George III mahogany veneered vauxhall mirror. Original plate with gilded slip and gilded bird to the top. Cross grain moulding to the mirror frame. Very nice overall shape and design.

Nice shape side ears both top and bottom.

Good colour and patination.

A few very minor veneer repairs otherwise very good for age.

SIZES; Overall sizes are 41" high by 23" wide. Mirror plate size is 28" high by 16" wide.
