The chairs are constructed of solid walnut frame, with stuff over seats above straight front rails. The chairs boast high shaped backs, which are connected to down swept arms, which terminate in scroll ends above a ring turned supports. The chairs stand on bobbin turned legs, which are connected with moulded cross-stretchers. The chairs are upholstered in a blend of silk and cotton with chenille finish. The upholstery is finished with brass studs to the frame. The backs feature similar upholstery. The seats are firmly sprung so that you do not sink into the seats but at the same time are extremely comfortable.

The frames of the chairs feature a rich walnut brown colour. As they boast the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
